Abstract This chapter reviews the main theories developed to explain discrimination. Mirroring historical development of field, while reflecting a theoretically systematic approach, adopts an approach by analytical scales present and discuss The first section presents seeking cause prejudice discrimination at individual level, second focuses on organizational mechanisms third structural determinants. In conclusion, we emphasize that despite these different levels analysis, various reviewed share common feature, namely fact maintains privileges certain ascribed groups over others
